OBE for Geraint Richards
The West of England Bandsmen’s Festival committee are delighted to share the wonderful news that our esteemed Festival President and ex Chairman has been awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
Geraint’s connection to the contest goes back to the very beginning, with his great grandfather F. J. P. Richards playing a significant role in establishing the contest in 1912, even holding it at the family home at Peniel for many years.
