WEBF receives grant
WEBF receives grant from local Parish Council.
We are currently seeking funding to help with the purchase of a new set of music stands that we desperately need to have in place for our 2016 contest. Our current stands have been in use for over 30 years and are no longer fit for purpose. And so we are delighted to announce that our local (Treverbyn) Parish Council have this week provided us with a grant of £500 to put towards the new stands.
Parish Council Clerk David Stevens has written ‘As you might imagine in these difficult times, the Parish Council has received a number of requests for financial assisstance from groups within the Parish and it was resolved to divide equally the funds amongst the applicants. On behalf of Treverbyn Parish Council I would like to express our thanks for the work of your organisation in being a vital part and focal point of the local community’.
It is now likely that the new stands will be in place for our next contest to be held at Molinnis Park on Saturday 18th June 2016.
